First of all, DICE stated it won’t publish promotional stuff or trailers to the new update like it has done before so as not to distract from the more important issues in the world today following the murder of George Floyd. [Update: The update is now live on on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and as DICE stated, it’s been published without the usual fanfare you’d expect around such a launch.]

DICE is owned by Electronic Arts, which has pledged more than $1 million to organizations including the Equal Justice Initiative and the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, along with other people to be declared. EA will even double-match worker contributions.

The update introduces a lot of new content, such as two channels, nine weapons, six automobiles, five gadgets, and three types of grenades, all of which are fresh to Battlefield V.

Its supported modes comprise Conquest, Breakthrough, Squad Conquest, and Team Deathmatch.

The next”new” map is an upgraded version of Provence.

In terms of the new grenades, these comprise the Firecracker, Demolition, and Type 99 Mine for many classes. It is possible to see the complete Battlefield V Summer Update patch notes below.

As announced previously, the Summer Update is your last material upgrade for Battlefield V, but DICE will continue to encourage the game with bug fixes and playlist updates.

Additional Changes:

  • Al Sundan – This map has been removed from turning whilst we tackle an issue with incorrect VO, following a change to the playable factions on this map. It will be returned to each of rotations pending a Hotfix that we’ll be publishing as soon as possible.
  • Twisted Steel – All conventional modes today feature U.S. vs. Germany (except Grand Operations).
  • Combined Arms – Fixed the missing tab at the end of around screen.
  • Exercise Range – Added the lost Panzerbüchse 39 & Boys AT Rifle bi-pod when using them on the scope.

  • Firecracker Grenade (all courses )

Additional Changes:

  • Add-on Grenade Launchers for the Tromboncino and M1 Garand now attempt to switch to the main ammo type instead of the pistol when the player runs out of ammo. We think this will lead to a greater battle flow once the player ends up in these situations.
  • The Breda M1935 PG’s fire shifting sound can now be heard.
  • Unified the effect grenade’s trajectory together with the other frag grenades for improved consequences of grenade throws.
  • Slightly improved the time an effect grenade must travel, the quantity it bounces off a surface, and detonation delay after rebounding. This will not substantially alter the gameplay of the grenade, but will improve the pucker factor of getting these thrown in you.
  • Fixed a bug with all the Lunge Mine that would cause yet another knockback, as it had been selected again following a former use.

Additional Changes:

  • Improved the transition into ragdoll if players die in a car and made it the vehicle/wreck is followed to get the sufferer to make it a much more interesting experience.
  • Fixed an issue with the Hachi which was causing it not to maneuver and planned when moving at greater speeds.
  • Smoke screen firearms on tanks and airplanes now correctly block spots, and name tags.
  • AA firearms now suppress the exact same amount as other vehicle MGs.

Planes

  • 500lb bombs now have lowered burst damage, and raised irreparable harm to make it a two-pass kill.

BF-109 G2

  • Specialization shrub changes to compete with P51K.
  • Engine or gun update at tier 1.
  • Defensive alternatives or finned barrels at tier 2.
  • Eventually some less critical upgrades for tier 4.

BF-109 G6

  • Specialization shrub changes to compete with P51D.
  • Start loadout includes nitroussmoke, smoke, and 2x rockets.
  • Explosion protection or gun update at tier 1.
  • Defensive alternatives or finned barrels at tier 2.
  • Ground attack alternatives or leading edge for tier 3.
  • Nitrous now functions in the same manner as the superb charger to its Pacific planes.
  • Eventually some less crucial upgrades for tier 4.

SoldierNew Soldier Characters:

 

  • 2 New Japan Faction Soldiers.

 

Additional Changes:

  • Further fixes to prevent players from becoming stuck in out a bleeding state. When it does not fix the problem, we expect it will decrease the rarity from rare to rare.
  • Fixed a bug that would in some instances play the wrong voice over when a soldier places a bomber.

UI & Other

  • Fixed a problem that would cause spotted enemies not to reveal on the mini-map if the participant walked into their smoke.
