Destiny 2 Live Event Finished
Destiny 2’s most recent season was all about preventing a disaster. Even the Almighty, the immense spaceship used by the Cabal to destroy entire solar panels, was put towards the Earth to land on the previous Town and destroys it. They had to complete Seraph Tower events so as to induce the AI. They had been powerful and the final moments of the Almighty were part of Destiny 2’s first-ever live event.
The event started at 7 pm CET and for more than one hour, nearly nothing happened. The Almighty gradually approached the Earth and that was pretty much it. After about one hour and a half, Rasputin launched the defensive steps, showering the Almighty with thousands of missiles. The boat’s surface got fired with a huge number of explosions, then it started falling. Luckily, it appeared pretty away from The Tower and The previous Town but debrief in the explosion did some damage.
The Tower suffered some damage, but nothing severe. There are two or three things with ruined walls, but that’s pretty much it. Once the event finished Zavala talked with players and all of them received a new emblem. Luckily for individuals who were not part of this event, the logo can be redeemed at any given moment.
All in all, the first Destiny two event was a bit of a dud. It was fairly long and while the final moments of The Almighty were fairly cool, using a lot of explosions, shockwave and all, the entire thing was sort of boring. Nevertheless, it was the first time for Bungie to try something like that we should not be too unpleasant. We hope the next live event will probably be interesting.
